Last week in Los Angeles I participated in a live Q&A as part of an ASCAP expo on songwriting. When the topic of Twitter came up, I explained my waning interest in it being part of my daily life. By no means do I think it’s over as a medium altogether, but I do think that the days of “Twitter: The… Gary Vaynerchuck has lauded tumblr as the next breakout platform, and I’ve been inclined to agree. Nice to see John Mayer embrace the platform as well; having a blog on his website wouldn’t create interaction in a meaningful way. There’s something about coming into the weeds with everyone else that reinforces and rewards authenticity. Now if you’ll excuse me, I must continue to post anonymously.
